Community Service Event – Groundwork Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL (April 9, 2021) – Vesta Property Service’s community service event with Groundwork Jacksonville

About our Community Service Event

Groundwork Jacksonville is creating a Biodiversity Corridor along a quarter mile segment of the S-Line Rail Link. Groundwork’s goal is to highlight native plant ecosystems along the Emerald Trails, providing opportunities to engage with nature in an urban environment.

Vesta’s volunteers assisted with maintenance of the Herb and Spice Garden. Due to extreme weather conditions, the garden was damaged by frost. Any dead or overgrown plants were weeded and removed to make space for new vegetation. Additionally, water reservoirs were created and installed to maintain the new spices and herbs in the garden.

Vesta’s team enjoyed their time and service to the Jacksonville community. It was a pleasure to work with Shanell Davis-Bryant, Groundwork’s Program Manager, to 10 irrigation systems and 54 spices, herbs, and vegetables.
