Jacksonville, FL, July 23, 2020 – Vesta Property Services, at its Board meeting Monday, July 20, unanimously approved the appointment of David Surface as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. David was also appointed as a member of the Board. He fills the unexpired term of beloved former Chairman and CEO Frank Surface, who passed away last week.
“I speak for the entire leadership team when I say that we are all deeply saddened by my father’s passing,” says David. “However, we look forward to honoring his legacy by continuing to build on the deep culture that he instilled in all of our associates that is honorable behavior, civility and superior service to our clients.”
David spent his entire career managing both real estate and private companies. He has been with Vesta since its inception, having previously served as Vice President of Corporate Development, beginning in 2010. During that time, David led the general strategy and numerous acquisitions that helped propel the company to achieve double digit annual growth. Prior to joining Vesta, David was Managing Partner for a real estate finance and development company. During his career, David has arranged both private and public financing for adaptive reuse projects, apartments, and industrial facilities. David has served on the vestry of his church and is past chair of his local YMCA board. David currently serves as Executive Director for Community Assistance Foundation, Inc, a Vesta sponsored 501(c)(3) which provides relief and assistance to communities in need. David is a proud Florida native, a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker, a lifelong boater and holds a B.A. degree in Journalism from Washington and Lee University.
